►Drug-Free Work Environment

Because of the hospital's role as a health care provider, we place a high priority on keeping our workplace free of all illegal drugs. Accordingly, the hospital requires that all applicants, as a condition of employment, take and pass a screening test for illegal drugs.

The hospital will immediately terminate its consideration of any applicant who attempts to adulterate test results or who fails the test. We also reserve the right to test current employees for illegal drugs or alcohol if we find reasonable cause to suspect substance abuse.

►Equal Employment Opportunity

Salem Regional Medical Center is firmly committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all persons. Job applicants and employees shall not be discriminated against based on their race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, handicap, ancestry or veteran status.

►Smoke-Free Work Environment

SRMC and its campuses are nicotine and smoke-free in compliance with state and federal law. If you smoke or use other tobacco or nicotine products, you will not be considered for hire. All applicants considered for hire will be subject to a nicotine test as part of our pre-employment testing process. Once hired, employees must remain non-users of tobacco and nicotine products.
